Our lab’s core research focuses on enabling AI models to understand and empathize with human emotions.

We draw on multimodal data—such as visual and textual information—to help large models accurately capture and interpret human feelings and develop empathetic responses. Through the intersection of affective computing and multimodal learning, we aim to deliver more intelligent, human-centered solutions for fields including human-computer interaction, mental health support, and social companionship.
